On June 3, 1968, student protests began in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, the first major conflict with the then communist establishment. In Belgrade, Sarajevo, Zagreb and Ljubljana, students demanded more socialism, the fight against corruption and a better state.

Sarajevo Safari, a documentary by Slovenian director Miran Zupanic, uncovers little-known shocking details about the Bosnian War of the 90s. The film is about rich foreigners who paid money for the opportunity to shoot civilians in the besieged capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the positions of the Serb army. The film showcased at the Al Jazeera Balkans International Documentary Film Festival garnered great interest.

The documentary return voyage follows not only the paths of fleeing war criminals, but is driven by an effort to capture a part of the ethic mission of the then newly formed International Criminal Court in The Hague along, in its double nature: based on an independent investigation of war crimes, to strive for reconciliation in cases of multifarious ethnic, national and other conflicts.

Students in Serbia, who have blocked all universities in the country, did not celebrate New Year's Eve, but instead entered 2025 with a 15-minute silence in memory of the victims of the tragedy at the Novi Sad railway station, when a canopy collapsed on November 1, 2024, killing 15 people. The students have taken the lead in the fight against corruption, which they consider the cause of this tragedy, and are demanding that institutions begin to function and do their job.

At the 80th session of the International Olympic Committee in Athens, on 18 May 1978, Sarajevo was chosen to host the 1984 Olympic Games. The games were attended by 1,272 competitors from 49 countries in six sports. For the 14th Winter Olympic Games, a bobsleigh track was built on Trebević.

Like many other seniors in Germany, Petra receives terribly low retirement which makes her very poor. After paying rent and utilities, she is left with about 100 euros a month for food and other expenses, of which she barely survives in such an expensive city as Hamburg. Petra refuses to accept such circumstances. She belongs to a new generation of seniors, who do not feel that life should be over just because you are growing old. She decides to leave everything in Germany behind and move far away, to Eastern Europe looking for a better life.

Nermina and Marinko have been married for 39 years. During all those years, they had a lot, five children, Tatjana, Davorina, Nina, Denisa and Sandro. In all those years, they lost a lot. War, refugees, loss of family members... They survived all that together, raising their children to be successful and honest people. Through photos from family albums and personal and archival footage, as well as their conversations with their children and friends, we see how Nermina and Marinko dream of Srebrenica as it once was, full of people and with a developed economy, while today their town is becoming a ghost town, and they have to go to neighboring towns for the most basic foodstuffs.

While the children are enjoying their summer holidays, Basri, 8, heads off to the Macedonian mountains to join his brothers. They are the shepherds of hundreds of sheep, helped by huge dogs that protect them from wolves. For Basri, it's freedom, while his teenage brothers dream of elsewhere.
