Puffin's Pla(i)ce is a British regional children's programme named after it's star, Oscar Puffin, that's broadcast on ITV Channel Television on weekend afternoons. The programme, one of the longest-running children's series to air on the ITV network, has been broadcast since 3 March 1963. Originally presented by Channel Television's team of continuity announcers, recent Puffin's Pla(i)ce presenters have included Stewart McDonald, Kevin Pamplin, Sam Palmano, Lucy Anderson and currently, Jenny Mullin. In September 2013 it was announced the show would no longer be broadcast on TV, but would move to an online format at the Channel Online website. The last TV edition was broadcast on 15th September 2013.
ITV News Channel TV is the flagship regional news service on ITV Channel Television, co-produced with the independent production company, Newsline. The news service is produced from the main studios of Channel Television in St. Helier, Jersey. Reporters and camera crews are also based at Channel's Guernsey studios in St Sampson's. Freelance correspondents, camera crews and videojournalists are based on Alderney and Sark.
Simply the Best was a game show broadcast on the United Kingdom terrestrial network ITV in 2004. Filmed in Jersey as a co-production of Carlton Television and Channel Television, it was hosted by Phil Tufnell and Kirsty Gallacher, and featured the cheerleaders from the American football team the Scottish Claymores. Each week two teams from cities across the UK competed in a series of madcap games to go forward to a final, where the eventual prize was £50,000 for local community projects. Howard Hughes provided the commentator of the show The series was directly based on a French series entitled Intervilles, from which It's a Knockout had previously been adapted. The 2004 winners were Leeds, while Sheffield were the runners-up. The 2nd series of the show failed to broadcast in 2005 or subsequent years.
