Davaa and Zaya are a young nomadic couple in the vast Bayanhongor region of Mongolia who are in the throes of animal birthing season when a seismic event suddenly changes their lives. They are forced to migrate afar but are haunted by their past lives.

Ze, a 17-year-old, studies hard at school to succeed in the cold, callous society of modern Mongolia. When Ze encounters Maralaa, his senses are awakened and another reality seems possible.

Teenage boy Tsog lives in the slums outside Ulan Bator. He sells milk from his neighbor to support his family, with whom he frequently quarrels. The flight of his imagination is Tsog's only solace— he spends hours drawing his hero, a young monk. After a fight with his parents Tsog takes off to the city, where he settles on the roof of an apartment building. From this new vantage point he spots a beautiful but troubled young woman inhabiting a nearby penthouse. Seeking to intertwine their fates— to bridge the gap between their social, economic, and spiritual conditions— Tsog steals a remote which he uses to control the young woman's television set.

Davka is a teenager who lives in the decaying Soviet buildings in Ulaanbaatar. With his classmate, Anuka, they talk about manga and tease each other about sex. When Davka encounters an older woman, his ideas about intimacy and his view of relationships are forced to change.

A multi-generational story of love and loss centered around a young writer who must face the consequences of his egocentric decision to become bedridden.

Azaa and Shagai, a couple in their late 20s, are living in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, with their daughter. On the verge of divorce, they search for happiness in empty high-rise buildings.

Aldar hadn't been at homeplace for ten years. He is living in a big city now, being a voice of its countless streets. When his mother disappears in the steppe, he rushes back to find her. They will have to get to know each other again and go through the path that they did not have time to go through while she was still alive.
