A young woman meets with her best friend in a local diner to tell him about the fantasy she recently accomplished. But when a mysterious man enters, she is struck by a feeling of deja vu.

Montreal, December 31, 1933. Inside the storefront window of the grand Ogilvy store, a young worker watches passersby with envy. Tonight, she has nowhere to go. When the store closes, she finds herself outside admiring a party in a neighboring house. She notices a young man. In spite of the cold, she doesn’t move, looking at the young man, and she is softly swept away into a world of dreams.

In the small town of Bas-Saint-Laurent, Quebec, three short stories unfold in the surreal atmosphere of a Sunday. An imaginative boy and his sister play inside their house, a Colombian priest faces his new community while giving an uneasy mass and a teenager falls into the reality of work.

Louis, defeated mayor of his small town’s latest election, has to bid farewell to his seat after twenty years of loyalty. Following his defeat, he goes trough a rough patch that leaves him confused towards his future. As events seem to conspire to remind him the bitter taste of his failure, he finds unlikely solace at his neighbour’s house.
