
The Zwaagwesteinde (De Westereen) gig 30 years ago was the first Metallica European headline show ever, thanks to a mistake of the local venue owner. The documentary features a story full of anecdotes about the time that Metallica was still an unknown band and heavy metal was something completely new to everybody in the Netherlands.

Hendrik Waringa, singer and founder of the country band Early Bird, is followed together with his musical grandson Maurits van Nijen in the run-up to the reunion concert to be performed in celebration of the band's 60th anniversary.

The Dankert brothers are confronted by a client suspected of killing elderly patients in a hospital. The Dankerts go on a hunt for exculpatory evidence and encounter surprising cases that pose a huge dilemma for them. In the documentary ‘Het Laatste Fluitsignaal’ supporters are closely followed during the historic last match ever at the Cambuurplein. The result is a football film without football, but with a personal story full of experience, a laugh, a curse and a tear. Documentary maker Ivo Kraan, a Cambuur supporter himself, wanted to capture the unique atmosphere and emotions of the last match in the old stadium with ‘Het Laatste Fluitsignaal’. For him, the old Cambuur Stadium, in the middle of the residential area, is a place full of magic and solidarity. “Every two weeks, the most diverse characters come together in the stands, all with one shared passion: Cambuur.”

"Impossible is not possible" is the motto of De Klomp: a community support centre co-created by the people of Leeuwarden-Oost. For them, it is more than just a meeting place. It's their home - a home they are now being forced to leave. A permanent location has yet to be found, but for now, they've moved into another temporary home: 't Hertje down to the old Cambuur soccer stadium.
In the 1970s, in Emmen, Drenthe, the visionary neighbourhood Emmerhout was built. It was designed to be a revolutionary experiment, the neighbourhood of the future. Casper, 52, has been living in Emmerhout for more or less his entire life. In this short documentary, he reflects on past, present and future of the neighbourhood, but also of himself.
