The Last Love of Laura Adler
Yiddish live theater, a formerly lively theatrical form, is barely sustained by a few aging aficionados and its loyal but aged audience. Laura Adler is a big star of one of these troupes. She is attractive, middle-aged and quite content to spend her days performing obscure theater in her backwater town. One day, however, she learns that she is being considered for a part in a major U.S. film, and, while she is absorbing that news, she has an affair with a young man. Later, when she learns that she has terminal cancer, she decides to spend her remaining days onstage with her theatrical friends and family.

He has quite a few alarming conceptions about warfare ("politics are the extension of war", “Civilians are as much the enemy as men in uniform”…) When he returns to his estate in Antwerp, he continues to live under the impression of being in command of his troops and hikes into the nearby woods fully armoured.

The video contains amazing performances from both artists. The concert kicks off with a terrific set by B.B., which includes classics "The Thrill Is Gone" and "Let The Good Times Roll." Following B.B.'s set, James tears up the stage with some of his biggest hits. The Godfather showed he hadn't lost a step and delivered a powerhouse performance, which featured some of his dazzling footwork. He kept the audience on their feet with his raw funk and unrivaled charisma. Some of the tracks he performed in his set included "The Payback," "I Got the Feeling," "It's a Man's Man's Man's World," and "Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine." It's a beautiful day in Slottsskogen, Gothenburg idyllic city park, when suddenly the unthinkable happens - gunfire amidst all people. Two gangsters shooting game against each other and a large police operation starts. The conflict grows rapidly to involve several gangs from Gothenburg underworld. GSI switched to try to identify a new thread which proves to be both larger and better armed than any other. The only clue is a tattoo on one of the killed gang members.

A super boy's-own adaptation of the H. Rider Haggard story. At first, Sir Cedric Hardwicke comes across as a slightly stilted "Allan Quartermain" but he soon finds his rhythm and together with John Loder and Anna Lee sets off to find her long lost father as he searched deepest Africa for the legendary treasure of King Solomon. Along the way they encounter an outcast "Umbopa" (Paul Robeson) who helps guide them. Clearly they have spent some cash on this production and I think it shows; the story is fluidly directed by Robert Stevenson and we even get a song! It's riddled with colonial attitudes - almost unimaginable now - but some really grand cinematography and quite an exciting denouement make for a timeless adventure film.
