Alekos Alexandrakis (Greek: Αλέκος Αλεξανδράκης; 27 November 1928 – 8 November 2005) was a famous Greek actor. He was known for his theatrical work as well as work in film and television. He died of lung cancer. Alexandrakis starred in more than 60 films, including Stella with the late Melina Mercouri in 1955, Laterna ftoheia kai filotimo (1955), Mia trelli... trelli oikogeneia (1965) and Oi Kyries tis avlis (1966). He also directed two films in the early 1960s.

I am innocent
At first there was the theatrical adaptation, by Manolis Skouloudis, of the legendary Dreyfus Affair (an adaptation based on the novel by Emile Zola). It was then transferred to the cinema. The subject: the early 20th century and the military establishment, with the help of a money-loving and womanizing junior officer (Alekos Alexandrakis), accuses Captain Alfred Dreyfus (Dimitris Myrat) of treason, because he allegedly handed over secrets to the Germans. After a mock trial, where expediency prevailed, Dreyfus was convicted and imprisoned. However, Emile Zola firmly believes in his innocence and, through the press, fights a brave and effective battle, which will lead to the uncovering of the conspiracy and the restoration of the honor of the unjustly slandered captain.

Synoikia to Oneiro
A poor neighborhood of Athens, Asyrmatos, is the center of the world for the people who live there and try in every way to escape from poverty and destitution. A handsome released youth, Ricos (Alekos Alexandrakis), is trying to make money, at the same time that his lover, Stefi (Aliki Georgoulis), is seeing other men and her father, Nekrophoras (Manos Katrakis), is trying to contribute in family finances. Rico will set up a job, but will spend the money raised before he can put it into action. As a result, one of his "partners" (Alekos Petsos) will commit suicide, leaving his pregnant wife, Eleni (Aleka Paizis), to her fate. Rikos, his beloved and her father, defeated and disappointed because of the expectations that were never fulfilled, will be forced to come to terms with the harsh reality.

Laterna, Poverty and Carnation
Pavlaras and Petrakis have spent the money that Kaiti's father gave them two years ago and continue to travel around Athens with their lantern. However, Pavlaras is not well and needs to rest, as recommended by his doctor. Petrakis collects money from their friends, but it is not enough to cover their expenses. He is then forced to secretly sell the lantern without Pavlaras' knowledge.
