Yusuf and Zulaikha
The brothers of Yusuf (Joseph), jealous of their father Yaqub’s (Jacob's) love for him, throw him into a well. A caravan rescues Yusuf, and years later he is sold as a slave in the market of Egypt. The Right Way

A Party in Hell

In an elaborate fantasy sequence which makes up the last third of the film, Haji finds himself in hell, witness to all sorts of macabre and elaborate tortures and horrors. The film is noted for its elaborate set pieces which recall Méliès. There is even a sequence involving Hitler in hell!

After his son Masoud attacked him and said his claim to ownership of part of the sea was unconscionable Ghasem Khan drove him out of the house; he took refuge with the people. Ahmad loves Kazem's daughter Maryam. Ahmad went to sea fishing with a group of fishermen but the sea was tempestuous and he turned up missing.

Separate Beds
Hamid, who has a dispute with his wife "Mehri", leaves his wife and daughter "Mahtab" and goes to a cafe. Hamid meets a dancer named Mina, who tries to trap him in a smuggling gang led by Ahmad.
