The Big Town

Pasjača
Nikola, a teacher from Belgrade, accepts a job in the remote mountain village of Gornik, unaware that deep-buried secrets await him there. At the same time, Lucija, an ambitious PhD in anthropology, arrives in the village to investigate a community that claims to be descendants of ancient Celts. However, the locals are not ready for change due to their fears and old legends, a mysterious past, and the suspicious motives of the new arrivals.

The Written Off Return
Prle and Tihi, being the only surviving members of their resistance group, had been forced to leave Nazi-occupied Belgrade and join Partisans in country. In Summer of 1944 somebody is assassinating resistance sympathizers, and Prle and Tihi must return to Belgrade deal with it. In order to cross through enemy lines, they use cars, clothes and documents of captured pro-Nazi minister. During their journey the minister escapes and warns the Gestapo.

BOLJI ŽIVOT is a Yugoslav TV series with mixed elements of soap opera, comedy and drama that aired from 1987 to 1991. Created by the Radiotelevision Belgrade it is considered to be the most successful TV show ever produced in Yugoslavia. Written by Siniša Pavić, most prolific Serbian screenwriter, the series helped jump start cinematic careers for many of its protagonists, most notably Dragan Bjelogrlić who went on to become successful actor, director, and producer.
