Born in Oahu, Hawaii, Amber grew up traveling all over the world (Costa Rica, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand). She decided at age fourteen to pursue a career as both an actress and a model. Hay made her professional debut as “Cali Barbie” in an international TV commercial for Mattel. Amber then moved to Los Angeles, California to further realize her ambitions as an actress.
