Biography
Andre Royo (born July 18, 1968) is an American actor, producer, and writer. He is best known for his role as Reginald "Bubbles" Cousins on the HBO crime drama series The Wire. Other television appearances include Fringe, Party Down, How to Make It in America, and Empire. In film, he had roles in Shaft (2000), Super (2010), The Spectacular Now (2013), Beautiful Boy (2018), Prospect (2018), and To Leslie (2022). Royo was born in the Bronx, New York of African American and Cuban heritage. He attended Mount Saint Michael Academy in The Bronx from 1982 - 1986. Royo is married to Jane Choi and has a daughter, Stella.
