In her first film appearance since The Rose Tattoo, Anna Magnani plays a feisty nun named Sister Letizia. Carefully constructed to accommodate all the surefire box-office elements inherent in Camerini's earlier films, Suor Letizia was almost guaranteed to be a hit.
