Ants Ander (May 14, 1931 Taevere, Viljandimaa – June 26, 2024) was an Estonian theater and film actor. Ander graduated from the Tallinn Teachers' Institute in 1952 and the Tallinn Drama Theater study studio in 1955. He worked in the Rakvere theater from 1956 to 1961, later he played mainly in Vanemuise, he participated in several TV productions and Estonian Radio radio shows. In 1979, he was awarded the honorary title of Meritorious Artist of the Estonian SSR.

Lurich
Georg Lurich was a world-famous Estonian professional wrestler in the early 1900-s who became a legend already in his lifetime. He was called not only the world's best technique-wrestler but he was also a sports-philosopher, health and temperance activist, an efficient sports manager, a talent in acting, writing and chess, a "world's citizen" who spoke more than ten languages and an athlete with enormous popularity. At least 14 wrestling clubs in Europe and USA carried his name. This film is an unpretentious attempt to recall that unique man, the first world-famous Estonian.

Summer
In the beginning of the 20th century, Joosep Toots has returned from Russia, where he learned agriculture. He wants to start reforming his father's farm, Ülesoo. At the same time, he's competing with Kiir to win the love of Teele. Teele has stated that she agrees to marry with a farmer only. So Kiir decides to go to Russia to learn agriculture too.

Taarka
The first film in the Seto language in the world speaks about the brightest heroine of a small people, the folk singer Hilana Taarka, a woman who lived her whole life as an outcast in a small chimney-less hut; as an unmarried mother of children in poverty, begging her bread, doing odd jobs and singing. She always sang the truth, sometimes bitter, sometimes funny, sometimes cruel. She was feared, despised and coveted. Taarka sang throughout her remarkable life, throughout her fate, from a small Seto village to international fame. And she sang well. Really well. Taarka became the Mother of the Song, a legend. But as a woman, as a member of the community, the Seto people never really accepted her. Taarka - a despised woman and a worshiped singer.

Old Men's Paradise
Two long-serving city officials are being forced into compulsory retirement from the environment agency. The enterprising men decide to take it upon themselves to fight predators on the fishing lakes. On a boat trip, they meet the fishermen. But the fishermen and the surrounding wildlife hold more mystery than the men can initially see. A trip to a fishing village will change the men's lives forever.

Forest Captain
Sailing to South America, the sailing ship "Fortuna" gets stuck in a calm in the middle of the Atlantic. Heat and thirst drive the team crazy, knives are already flashing and the wind is being conjured in the darkness of the night. Aurora, the new head of the culture centre in a small Estonian town, and her ward, nicknamed Lumumba, change the lives of Rein and his father who are crushed with grief. Together with their friend Elsa, the boys decide to introduce Rein's father to Aurora in order to make them feel less lonely.

The Flirt
A heartfelt story about the borderlands of childhood, about a boy who is still a child, but who is touched by an inexplicable, barely discernible feeling of love. Ten-year-old boy Jaanus is in love with Eva, a girl a few years older than him, from whom he wants to buy a puppy. The puppy is like an unattainable dream, like a first love. Aare Tilga's debut film is based on Mart Kivastik's short story of the same name and was Tilga's diploma thesis at the Moscow Cinema Institute, supervised by Eldar Ryazanov.
