Barbara Baldavin (October 18, 1938 - March 31, 2024) was an American television and film actress who appeared on three episode of the original Star Trek and recurred on Medical Center before working in the casting department on shows including Dynasty and Trapper John, M.D.

Columbo is a friendly, verbose, disheveled-looking police detective who is consistently underestimated by his suspects. Despite his unprepossessing appearance and apparent absentmindedness, he shrewdly solves all of his cases and secures all evidence needed for indictment.
