Inspector Shankar (Biswajeet) is assigned to investigate the mysterious death of Sunder Singh (Sujit Kumar). During this process, he meets a beautiful young and rich heiress named Sheil (Mala Sinha), who has an impaired memory, and is being looked after by Sunder Singh's aunt (Nirupa Roy). He falls in love with Sheila. Sheila confides in Shankar that she thinks she is haunted by a scarred-faced man. As the investigation progresses, Shankar gets the feeling that the results will change their lives forever.

Yeh Raat Phir Na Aaygi
After discovery of skeletal remains at an excavation site, a woman known to be deceased for over 2 centuries mysteriously re-surfaces to claim her lover.

Saaheb
Saaheb is the youngest of the four brothers and son of Badri Prasad Sharma. Jigarwala
Murder and political intrigue kick off a chain reaction of revenge in a small Indian village when the local zamindar, Dhurjan Singh (Amrish Puri), is convicted and jailed for killing Ranjeet (Biswajeet), a villager who opposed his policies. Salaam Bombay!
Young Krishna is abandoned at the Apollo Circus by his mother, who informs him that he can only return home when he can afford ₹500 for his brother's bicycle that he destroyed. The circus leaves Krishna behind and he travels to Bombay, where he delivers tee and befriends a heroin addict and a young prostitute. Krishna dreams of saving ₹500 to return home, but Bombay street life isn't easy.

Main Sunder Hoon
Sundar, a waiter, is in love with Radha but does not have the courage to tell her. When he becomes a successful comedian, he confesses his feelings to her, only to find that she loves someone else.

Chowringhee
Sata Bose, the receptionist of hotel Shahjahan and other crew members work hard to make the hotel first choice of the upper class for socializing in the city, just got the taste of freedom from British rule. The movie revolves around different characters - hotel employees to page 3 personalities dealing different human emotions. Although Sata Bose (played by Uttam Kumar) is the central character of the film, he is not the protagonist in many ways, rather the movie can be described as "hyperlink movie" made long ago than the term is coined.

Bees Saal Baad
After a lusty Thakur rapes a young girl, she kills herself. Thereafter, the Thakur is killed by what the local people call the girl's vengeful spirit. Then the Thakur's son is also killed in a similar way. Thereafter the brother of the Thakur is also killed. The grandson of the Thakur, Kumar Vijay Singh (Biswajeet) returns from abroad to claim his ill-fated legacy. He is warned to stay away from the grounds that have killed his ancestors, but he intends to find out who or what is behind the killings, and hires a private detective, Gopichand Jasoos (Asit Sen). Kumar meets with Radha (Waheeda Rehman), the daughter of the local doctor, Ramlal Vaid (Manmohan Krishan), and both eventually fall in love. Then a man is found dead wearing the clothes of Kumar Vijay, and Kumar Vijay must now decide to stay away from his new residence, or continue to live there, and fear for his life everyday until death.

Biwi Aur Makan
Four young men re-locate from a village in India, to a big city. While attempting to access accomodation, they are repeatedly told that rooms will only be rented to married couples, not to bachelors. Frustrated at this, two of them disguise themselves as women, and pose as wives for the other two males. They are able to secure accomodation with the Mishra family. Complications arise when the two "women" fall in love with Mishra's two lovely daughters - with results that can only be described as hilarious.

Mere Sanam
Neena and her mother stop by at a motel where she falls in love with Kumar, another occupant. When the two decide to get married, Neena learns of Kumar's dark past.
