125 Years Memory

Two historical incidents that deepened the friendship between Japan and Turkey are connected in this story of friendship and compassion: In the night of 16 September 1890 the Turkish frigate Ertuğrul is caught up in a typhoon and sinks off the Japanese coast. Risking their own lives, local villagers are able to rescue 69 Turkish sailors. Although being very poor and having hardly to eat, the villagers share what little they have with strangers from a country 9,000 kilometers away. 95 years later, during the Iran-Iraq War, more than 300 Japanese are stranded in Tehran. In the morning of 19 March 1985 a Turkish Airlines aircraft takes off for Tehran to evacuate the Japanese. But the remaining Turks at Tehran Mehrabad Airport still need to be convinced that they won't be able to board their own country's rescue flight.

Lodging

Year 2000, Samsun... Uğur takes a minibus home. When he shudders, there’s a flash-back with his daughter Berrak’s voice with song of the eighties playing on the radio. Uğur, now working as a machinist in Sivas in 1980 tells his wife Handan that he got a promotion and was assigned to Divriği which meant they had to move again. However, they got a lodging and that’s a good news. Her neighbors mention about Alawite people living in Divriği and this makes Handan worried. After they arrive to Divriği, they can’t find a place to live since the lodging was still occupied. They begin to live in the reserve railway car. Handan is in poor spirits because of their Alawite neighbors, dangers caused by the railroad and not to be able to move to the lodging. After months of waiting, they finally move but the new developments would take them to a different point in their life.

Doruk, the only child of a wealthy family, fulfills his dream by entering the police academy and graduating at the top of his class. He falls in love with Serap, whom he meets during an operation, and they get married. Shortly after their daughter Zeynep is born, Serap falls into a depression and leaves home. Doruk, a heroic special operations police officer, takes on both the role of mother and father to his daughter Zeynep while juggling his demanding duties. Just as a beautiful bond forms between father and daughter, Serap, who had left home, returns. A difficult period begins in the lives of father and daughter.

The Pelesenk family lives a modest life in Istanbul. The youngest daughter, Gizem, graduated at the top of her class and has applied to various companies for jobs. The father, Şenol, opened a small electrical shop with his son Sertaç after retiring, even though he didn't understand much about the business. As a result of an email received by Gizem, the family will embark on a journey. The email came from a company in Izmir. Since Gizem couldn't find a ticket to Izmir under any circumstances, Şenol says he will take the family on the road and also take his daughter to the job interview. And the family sets off on the road shortly, but they will encounter unexpected comical incidents along the way.
