Ezo Gelin

Based on the story of Ezo the Bride, a beautiful young woman with black hair and rosy cheeks. She lived in a small village in southern Turkey. All the men who passed through the village fell in love with her and her family hoped she would find a good match. However, Ezo was not what you’d call ‘lucky in love’. Her first husband loved another woman. Darn. She was allowed to leave the marriage on grounds of maltreatment. Her second husband lived in Syria, and she missed her village.

However, Meral's conceited, snobbish, and spoiled behavior bothers Selim and causes him to not want to marry her. One day, when no one is in the classroom, Gül plays the piano and sings. Selim, who has come to pick up Meral from school, thinks that Gül, whose voice he likes very much, is a student at the school. He meets her and invites her to his birthday party. Gül accepts the invitation, but Meral reveals that she is a cleaner. Gül is embarrassed. However, Selim is very fond of her, and their relationship progresses. Selim's father is on the verge of bankruptcy. His only salvation is his son's marriage to Meral, and Selim reluctantly agrees.

Unable to stand any more of his father's pestering, Erol moves out. After a while, Metin also leaves home to live with his elder brother. But in response, Haci Nuri disowns the two of them. The two brothers will try to start a business and get by without their father.
