State of Divinity
Ling-wu Chung, a senior student of the Wah Mount Sect, was not at all brilliant when he joined the Sect, but was soon taught to master the sword by a legendary swordsman Yeung. Chung’s master, Kwan, resented this and drove Chung away. In order to get hold of “Kwai Fa Bo Din”, the book on the most powerful martial art, Kwan diverts attention by secretly creating troubles everywhere. Chung, on the other hand, becomes the leader of the Hang Mount Sect by chance and falls in love with Kwan's daughter. When she betrays him, he turns to the daughter of the Devil Sect leader, and thus causes a love triangle between them.

Chen is forced by his father to leave their home as evil plotters plan his death. On his journey he kills a man in hand-to-hand combat and then decides to find and help the man's family. When Chen arrives, he meets the dead man's two pretty daughters, now under the control of an evil war lord and his cruel gang. One by one, Chen takes them down until the big tournament, when he is forced to fight several skilled killers in a variety of martial arts styles. After winning the tournament, Chen takes on the big war lord himself in a fight to the death!

The Romantic Swordsman is a Hong Kong television series adapted from Gu Long's novel Duoqing Jianke Wuqing Jian of the Xiaoli Feidao Series. It was first broadcast on TVB in Hong Kong in September 1995.

Once Upon a Time in Shanghai
Set in 1930s Shanghai, the story opens with legendary gambler Gon and his vow to recover his father's casino from Shanghai tycoon Fung In his quest, he becomes acquainted with Sou and uncovers her fiance's nefarious conspiracy. Sou gives her heart to Gon, but he can't forget his old love Gu. Meanwhile, up-and-coming gangster Hui Man Keung is quickly making his name in Shanghai. Crossing paths during chaotic times, Hui, Gon, and Ding Lik become brothers and business partners, but Fung recruits Hui and Ding to his side through backhanded methods. Though deeply in love with Fung's daughter Ching Ching, Hui can only turn away from love and friendship when Fung's true nature is revealed. Fung, however, is not about to just let Hui walk away.

The Greed of Man
Told in reverse chronological order, the story starts in the present (June 7, 1994), when the stock market rebounded after the market became volatile and crashed for the weekend. After the stock market stopped trading for the weekend, the Ting's make the wrong bet and their entire fortune is wiped out, compounded by ending up in billions of dollars in debt. Ting Hai forces his sons to commit suicide by jumping off from the top of the stock exchange building before following after them.
