Der Kaiser von Schexing
Andreas Kaiser returns to his Bavarian hometown of Schexing after around 15 years. The mayoral elections are coming up, but there is no one who wants to take over the office. Municipal treasurer Nelz and town hall manager Rosi Specht see Andreas as the ideal candidate. Inexperienced as he is, they believe they have an easy game with him. A mistake, as it soon turns out. No less stubborn than his father, farmer Ludwig Kaiser, Andreas throws himself into his work, develops unusual ideas and slowly but surely begins to turn the idyllic village upside down. Which doesn't meet with everyone's approval.

Flammenmädchen
First barns burn, then an old house burns. A fire brigade goes around. A corpse burned beyond recognition is found in the old house. Intention or amazing coincidence? Franzi Heilmayr and Martin Merana believe in coincidence - until the evidence suddenly points in a completely different direction. And deadly danger still emanates from there.

Coming of Age
Does luck have a use by date? Both thought that at eighty they have experienced everything until, like a bolt of lightening, Rosa and Bruno come together and immediately fall head over heels. There are two obstacles to their happiness though: Bruno’s marriage, which has long been routine, and Rosa’s illness; she has cancer and not long left to live. Despite the difficult circumstances, the two decide to breakaway – Bruno from his relationship and Rosa from her retirement home. Against the advice of carers, doctors and relatives, the pair moves into a new apartment together. ANFANG 80 shows with a great deal of unequivocal humour how insensitively and sometimes desperately overburdened society reacts to love among the elderly.

Ein bisschen bleiben wir noch
Chechen refugee children, Oskar (8) and Lilli (13), who have been living in Austria for six years, are about to be deported along with their mother. However, her sudden attempted suicide results not only in the short-term suspension of their deportation but also in the forced separation of the family. The children’s hope that they will be reunited with their mother is nourished by their love for each other and challenges all bureaucratic obstacles with passion and poetry. A bittersweet odyssey about the many ways of perceiving the world around you in order to survive.
