Destan
The film tells the story of Şah's revenge on Ökkeş Ağa and his son Ömer. Ökkeş Ağa assigns his man Gaffar to kill Hamza, who married the girl he loved, and his family. Gaffar cannot bring himself to kill Hamza's young son. He names him Şah and raises him in a cave like a warrior. Years later, when Ömer shoots Ali, the son of the village headman who married the girl he loved, at his wedding, the villagers inform Şah. Şah, who is Ali's friend, swears to kill Ökkeş Ağa and Ömer. Ömer, unaware that he is sealing his own fate, kills Ali's widow and her father after Ali.

The film tells the story of a Turkish platoon serving in the Korean War. First Lieutenant Kemal is sent to Korea on a mission to learn the enemy's routes of operation. He sets out with a group of soldiers. They take up position at the farm of Can Bey, who lives in the area they have arrived at. Karaoglan: The Hero Came from Altai
"Karaoğlan - Altay'dan Gelen Yiğit" is the first adaptation based on a famous Turkish historical comic book by Suat Yalaz.

Two Ships Side by Side
After the release, Iki Gemi Yanyana (Two Ships Side by Side) stirred controversy over its treatment of lesbians, showing two women kissing each other on the lips (later, in Dul BirKadın (A Widow), director Atıf Yılmaz took up the same theme again). This scene creates a moment of interest in this otherwise conventional film.
