Bergola Ijo

A continuation of the Jaka Sembung series. The event takes place in the Gegesik village near Cirebon, in 1827. The village head, Subah, faces two enemies - the Dutch and Ki Dungu. The Dutch use Ki Dungu to destroy the village, as he has an old grudge against the people plus he possesses the powerful skill of Bergola Ijo. But Ningsih, the wife of Fajar, both of whom are Subah's children and disciple respectively, face Ki Dungu with their own martial arts.

Then Yati runs away with the fortune and the child of her affair. Neneng, who stays, commits suicide. Her father realises his mistake and reconciles with Sumiati. Rachmat has also come back for Mira.

Nurhayati’s husband dies in an accident and she is left with four small children. After telling the real situation to her father and to her eldest child, Asih, the children are brought to the families she considers as able to raise them. How lucky she is that the three families are eager to accept her children. On a birthday party of her youngest child, she feels at ease and dies.

Hendro even apologises to Bije’s father, but the latter refuses him. Bije even begs to his father to apologise to Hendro, but instead, Bije is thrown out of the house. Eventually Bije and Diana get married, but before the honeymoon ends, Diana passes away on Bije’s lap.

Because she violated the doctor’s order to not get pregnant again, Yuwono’s wife finally dies while she is pregnant with her third child. Yuwono then marries an office staff, Ningsih. Harun, another co-worker who also loves Ningsih, tries to destroy Yuwono by tampering with the office’s financial report so that Yuwono is arrested and is investigated. Harun then influences Ningsih, regarding her standing as a stepmother, so that Yuwono’s house is taken over and the stepchildren, Netty and Susy, are treated harshly. The two children run away from home, looking for their father, and are separated for a time. When Yuwono is proven innocent and is released, he does not find his children at home and goes around Jakarta to look for them. He finally finds them again.
