Dilip Mukherjee was born on November 24, 1931, in Bhagalpur, Bihar and Orissa Province, British India. He was an actor and director, known for Kancher Swarga (1962), Chaowa-Pawa (1959), and Keranir Jiban (1953). He died on March 31, 1990 in India.

The school of a remote and poor village shut down, the head master Krishna Prasanna (Chhabi) migrates to city in search of job. He moves with family, wife Labanya (Karuna), nubile daughter (Ranjana) and very young son. He takes residence with his wife's brother. He meets per chance one of his ex students, of whom he used to take free evening classes and many of whom got merit scholarship and became cream of society, a doctor, a judge, successful lawyer, manager of a big bank and so on. Just to save Anuradha Raja put her at his grandmother’s house in Tarakeshwar. Later Anuradha felt that she had a soft corner for Raja. Therefore, without hesitation, she decided to come back to Raja’s place and fixed him as his life partner.
