In the police force, "Death Investigation Extension" or "D.I.E." was established to accommodate those who have been sent away by their supervisors. Yue Chi-Long (Roger Kwok), who has cracked a large number of difficult cases by extrasensory means, is assigned to the D.I.E. because his superiors find him strange for falling asleep constantly on the job. Along with a Chinese senior official, a physics professor, and two South Korean weapon experts, they hope to defuse a crisis sufficient to destroy the world.

D.I.E. Again

Although D.I.E had been dissolved and the officers returned to their previous departments, their odd habits continue to follow them, resulting in many troubles for the police force. The senior staff decide to bring the D.I.E back, this time headed by Lo Sir, Yue Sir's former supervisor. Yue Sir and Jing Jing have a baby boy and Jing jing returns to work after trying to be a housewife to no avail. Initially working with the homicide unit again, she is still always chasing Dai-Hau-Ying, and after several incidents is sent back to D.I.E. Ying seems to have become less evil than before, but Jing jing continues to attempt arrest, much to the chagrin of her supervisors.

When Sun Man Kwan “MK” was young, he was wrongly accused of using drugs but was successfully defended by the famous lawyer, Tsui Ching Ping “Brandon”. MK grows up to become an attorney just like his new idol and gets hired at Brandon’s law firm. There, he meets fellow attorneys Suen Lei Lei “Lily” and Cheuk Wai Ming “Vincent”. MK becomes smitten with Lily but she doesn’t return his feelings. And although he has a rocky start with Vincent, he and MK eventually become best friends. As MK and Vincent get entangled in matters of the heart and the law, can they prove that everyone gets a fair shake through the justice system?
