Known For

The Mayoress
Claudia Voss, honorary mayoress, is presented with a fait accompli when her Southern German district decides to build a refugee centre in her town. Some of the population are fuming and resistance grows, but there are equal amounts of willingness to help and empathy. Unexpectedly, the committed wife and mother attracts the attention of right-wing circles and faces attempts to intimidate her. The more Claudia Voss tries to mediate, the stronger the hostility becomes. A gripping contemporary thriller which paints a nuanced picture of the challenges brought by an increasingly polarized political reality. No exception, but instead a widespread, alarming phenomenon in today’s democratic societies.

Wer weiß denn sowas?

Unschuldig
A condemned man comes out of prison and does his utmost to find the true murderer of his wife in order to get his children back. This is the starting point for the touching crime drama "Innocent" with crime scene commissar Felix Klare in the lead role. He plays with great intensity the family man who wants to bring the truth to light on his own. For relatives, witnesses and even the police, this could be a problem. Between the fronts, Britta Hammelstein becomes an indomitable commissioner, exposing a fatal network of false statements and investigation errors.

Because You're Mine
They failed as a couple, but as parents Julia and Tom share custody of their daughter Anni after their divorce. Driven by her hurt feelings, Julia begins to systematically alienate the girl from her father.

Woman of the Dead
In a vengeful quest to find out who killed her husband, a woman ends up exposing her small community's deepest and ugliest secrets.

Unter Anklage: Der Fall Harry Wörz
Gräfenhausen near Pforzheim, on the morning of April 29, 1997: Harry Wörz is awaited by a large police force as he leaves his apartment and is immediately arrested. He is said to have visited the policewoman Silke, with whom he is still married but no longer lives together, the night before and choked her so hard with a scarf that she suffered serious injuries.

Nord Nord Mord

Luther
During the early 16th century, idealistic German monk Martin Luther, disgusted by the materialism in the church, begins the dialogue that will lead to the Protestant Reformation.

Love in Persian
Felix Klare and newcomer Mona Pirzad play the main roles in the comedy "Liebe auf Persisch": While the beautiful interpreter, with a weakness for Goethe and German rap, brings him closer to the culture of their country, the clumsy guest abroad comes to his father's secret, played by Günther Maria Halmer, on the trail. Director Florian Baxmeyer manages an entertaining romantic comedy without leaving out substantial culture clash topics. With this road movie in a breathtaking landscape, a German TV production was filmed for the first time on original locations in Iran.

Die Chefin
First Police Chief Inspector Vera Lanz, a Munich police detective, attempts to balance her professional and private life.
