The Young Girls of "Sogdiana"
Student Malika studies at one of the universities in Dushanbe. Her hobby is field hockey, and she is the center of attack for the Sogdiana women's team. One day, Malika meets Said, who studied at the University of Bombay, where the young man, it turns out, learned not only the humanities, but also the game of field hockey, kung fu techniques, and even the secrets of the skill of Indian dancers. Said instantly falls in love with Malika and soon becomes the coach of Sogdiana. But the proud girl, offended by the new coach’s comments, goes to the synchronized swimming section. Disguised as a correspondent, Said enters the pool.

Primrose
Based on L. Yelisieieva’s short story "Far Away". In the 1920s–30s, a girl named Liolia grows up in poverty after her father is killed in the so-called “Civil War.” Her mother’s new marriage brings fear and violence into the home, so Liolia is sent to live with her grandmother, where she finds peace—though only briefly.
