The Romance Of Three Kingdoms
Adapted from the classical 14th century novel of the same title by Luo Guanzhong, Romance of the Three Kingdoms is part historical, part legend, and part mythical – romanticises and dramatises the lives of feudal lords and their retainers, who tried to replace the dwindling Han dynasty or restore it. The focus is mainly on the three power blocs that emerged from the remnants of the Han dynasty, and would eventually form the three states of Cao Wei, Shu Han, and Eastern Wu.

Kangxi Dynasty is a 2001 Chinese television series based on the novel Kangxi Da Di by Eryue He. The series is a prequel to the 1997 television series Yongzheng Dynasty, and was followed by Qianlong Dynasty in 2002.

The Great Dunhuang
The Great Dunhuang is a Chinese television series based on the history of the oasis city of Dunhuang, which lies on the ancient Silk Road. With a Buddhist sutra printed in gold lettering as the plot device, the series tells of the rise and fall, and rebirth of Dunhuang in three parts, each covering a different period in Chinese history - the Song Dynasty, the late Qing Dynasty and the Republican era. Zhang Zhidong movie is about a businessman, but this Chinese name comes from Zhang (Chang). He was a Chinese politician who lived during the late Qing dynasty. Along with Zeng Guofan, Li Hongzhang and Zuo Zongtang, Zhang Zhidong was one of the four most famous officials of the late Qing dynasty. In addition to serving as governor of Shanxi Province, viceroy of Huguang, Liangguang, and Liangjiang, and a member of the Grand Council, he advocated controlled reform and modernization of Chinese troops. In 1905, he played a big part in abolishing the Imperial examination system. During the Cultural Revolution, the Red Guards destroyed his tomb. He was reburied in 2007 after his remains were rediscovered.
