Photo reporters Rolf and Karin travel the country in search of the best motifs for a new travel calendar. When they happen to pass by the filming of "A Year Full of Music", the theme for the calendar is found. Over the course of the seasons, they take pictures of popular music artists such as Gilbert Bécaud, Thomas Lück and Etta Cameron in the most beautiful places in the country, from the Baltic Sea to Berlin and the Thuringian Forest.

His passion for hunting almost spells doom for the sales manager of a GDR convenience store: his ambition to shoot a big buck just before the start of the closed season leads him to fall for a joke played by his son. Five young, pretty female athletes are training for an international skydiving contest. From heaven they basically fall straight into the arms of five charming young men. Their coach is less than thrilled about the flirtation and urges his athletes to concentrate on the contest. The power of love turns out to be stronger, however, and soon the first love couples find each other.

Based on the novel of the same name by Harry Turk. 1944. In occupied Poland, a railway line is being built to transport lead ore to Germany. The Valley of Seven Moons is restless, with construction materials disappearing and people vanishing. The occupiers feel uneasy on foreign soil. Despite increased security, partisans carry out one act of sabotage after another, hindering construction in every way possible. The German Rudek and the Jewish girl Martina, who at first stand aside from any struggle, join the partisan detachment.
