Ball at the Savoy
Operetta star Gitta Alpar plays a singer engaged for a performance at the Savoy Hotel, where she mistakes Baron von Wollheim for a waiter. But the baron is content to play the game for a while and changes his role with the real waiter. Of course the singer is quite happy when she discovers the real identity of the baron, but now she mistakes him for a thief, as her necklet has gone missing. Further complications arise when the baron's cousin Mary, a composer, arrives at the hotel and wants a music publisher to listen to her songs.
Once There Was a Waltz
Banker Rudi Moebius and his counselor arrive in Wien for an arranged marriage which should solve their financial problems. The Stolen Face
Bill's girlfriend Lore is an art student in Berlin. Since her professor doesn't think much of painting women, she exchanges a genuine Raphael painting in a gallery for a copy made by her. In a spectacular theft, the copy is stolen. Detective Keller suspects Bill and Lore. But Bill, who is a talented quick-change artist, keeps escaping arrest by constantly altering his appearance.
Circus Life
Artonis is an acrobat employed in the circus owned by Elvira Starke. Apparently he confines his acrobatics to the bedroom, because he's carrying on two separate affairs on the trot: one with his boss Elvira, and one with the circus's beautiful equestrienne Kitty Rallay. Someone shoots Artonis dead.

This film was released as a German version and English Version known as "The City of Song". Brigitte Helm once portrays a beautiful femme fatale who displays her affection and lust for her tourist guide which is paralleled with the main bodied theme of the early romanticist songs played throughout.

Overture to Glory
A humble cantor, Oysher yearns to be an opera singer. He deserts his tiny village to pursue his dream, but when his voice breaks he sheepishly returns, resigned to attending but not singing at the Yom Kippur services. Upon his return, Oysher is informed that his son has died. Out of grief is wrought a miracle: Oysher's voice returns, more powerful than ever. After performing the Day of Atonement services, Oysher suddenly collapses, peacefully joining his son in death. If you wish to see the touching Overture to Glory, by all means seek out a decent print; many extant copies are so washed out that, not only are the English subtitles unreadable, but it's extremely difficult to tell one actor from another.
