Hirai Kawato, better known by his ring name Master Wato, is a Japanese professional wrestler signed to New Japan Pro‑Wrestling, where he debuted on January 3, 2016, after training as a Young Lion in the NJPW Dojo. Initially sent on excursion to Mexico’s CMLL as Kawato‑San (winning the CMLL World Lightweight Championship), he returned to NJPW as Master Wato and has since become a two‑time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion and the 2023 Best of the Super Juniors tournament winner.
