Two Friends
Two inseparable friends, Vitya Maleev and Kostya Shishkin, cause a lot of grief for the pioneer group: their diaries are constantly filled with failing grades. The friends are too preoccupied with soccer. Only dusk forces them to leave the sports field. Vitya Maleev's mother takes away her son's football, but the friends invent new entertainments, and the number of failing grades in their diaries grows alarmingly. Kostya Shishkin, under the pretext of "illness," stops attending school altogether. Based on the story by Nikolai Nosov.

Crash
Driver Panachuk, who took «left» passengers, is in a hurry to Gorsk. Panachuk tells the policeman who stopped him that he saw a murdered doctor in a crashed «Moskvich» car on the way.

Vassilisa the Beautiful
Based on a Russian folk tale, Vasilisa Prekrasnaya (Vasilisa the Beautiful) is about a father whose three sons go out to finds themselves brides. Two of the boys come home with perfectly normal girls, but the youngest brother, Ivanushka, brings home a frog from the marshes. His father finds this most curious, but what he does not know was that the frog was actually a beautiful girl named Vasilisa who was cursed by a magical serpent whom she refused to marry. Now Ivanushka must overcome tremendous obstacles to restore Vasilisa to her true form and free her from the serpent's spell.

The Girlfriends
Girlfriends Zoya, Natasha and Asya live in Petrograd. Before the Civil War, young heroines are aware of the social injustice of life. When the war begins, the girls are recorded by the orderlies of the working group to protect the Bolshevik Petrograd from the advance of the whites.

Soviet Border
The Soviet Far East and Manchukuo are separated by a border river, on one side of which Russian White Guards have settled in a small Manchurian village, while on the opposite bank lives the Vlasov family. Wanting to destroy the Vlasovs, the White Guards break into their house. A detachment of soldiers led by border guard commander Captain Tarasov comes to their aid. Different Fortunes
Young Leningraders, yesterday’s schoolchildren, are entering adulthood. Sonya is in love with Styopa, but he loves Tanya, and Tanya prefers Fedya. The rejected Styopa leaves for a distant Siberian city and starts working at the factory, studying at the evening institute. Sonya leaves after him and gets a job at the same factory. Tanya and Fedya, having married, go to college, and the young husband has to earn some money as a driver to support his family. The selfish nature of Tanya refuses to put up with the modest position in which the newlyweds are forced to be, and she starts an affair with an elderly composer...

The Village Detective
