La que se avecina

La que se avecina is a Spanish television comedy created by Alberto Caballero, Laura Caballero and Daniel Deorador. The TV-series focusing around the inhabitants of Mirador de Montepinar, a fictional building located on the outskirts of a big city. Both its storylines and cast are heavily based on Aquí no hay quien viva, which ended when Telecinco bought Miramón Mendi, the series production company. The episodes debuted on the Telecinco network, and were later rerun by the same network as well as cable/satellite channels FactoríaDeFicción and Paramount Comedy. The series debuted in 22 April 2007 and became popular thanks to its funny characters, witty script, use of catchphrases and capacity to integrate and poke fun at contemporary issues; the program presents a caustic satire of many of the 'types' found in Spanish society. The name of the show involves wordplay, as "vecina" is the Spanish word for neighbour.

Grandmother and Foreigner

Teresa is a dressmaker. She meets Samir, the greengrocer, who is actually a great tailor who had to emigrate from Pakistan. Enric, in the middle of a pivotal turning point in his life, returns to the village to attend the funeral of his grandma and discovers the relationship she had with Samir.

The Longest Distance

What the Future Holds

In 1966, Justo Gil arrives in Barcelona as a migrant with the purpose of gaining enough money to give his sick mother the best care. Three Days with the Family deals with the relationship between three brothers and one sister, and with their wives and children, whose father has just died. They don't see each other often, and their different opinions about common problems soon become a problem itself.

The Hours of the Day

Abel lives with his mother in a small town on the outskirts of Barcelona. His life, grey and boring, is based on the small family business, his mother's house, his girlfriend's bed, and the town bars. However under an appearance of quiet and gentle man, Abel hides a dark and morbid personality.
