Known as one of Finland’s most prominent rock institutions, Tavastia club celebrated half a century of being in the business, whilst withstanding the challenges of a global pandemic. In this rockumentary, director Antti Kuivalainen takes us through the history of Tavastia, as the club which brought rock ‘n’ roll to Finland.

The Saimaa Gesture

A documentary film about a tour of three Finnish rock bands around Saimaa lake system in a steam boat in 1981. The bands (Juice Leskinen Slam, Eppu Normaali and Hassisen Kone) are shown playing songs in their gigs and, in between, the members give intimate interviews or just act plain silly and have a good time.

Hassisen Kone 40 Years After

Documentary film about Hassisen Kone. A band that, despite its short age, is still remembered as one of the most iconic Finnish rock bands of all time. The film tells not only about the band's 40th anniversary concert and the preparations for it, but also about the history of the band and its members' growth from youth celebrities to adults.

A Finnish live action adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale, The Snow Queen. The tale centers on the struggle between good and evil as experienced by a little boy and girl, Kai and Kerttu.

Fuck Off 2 - Images from Finland

In „Fuck Off 2“, Donner waxes sarcastic about the scourges in Finnish society by interviewing regular people. The film takes a theme of different living possibilities. Some people find happiness, others succumb to depression. Many still dream of a better life somewhere else. Donner himself undergoes cardiac surgery.

Pakanamaan kartta

The story of Helena Koskinen, a camera assistant, and Tapani Helander, a studio director, who met in England while on a filming trip. The series begins when Helena suffers a serious brain injury in an accident at work, leading to memory loss, and actor Risto Kareinen sells a wristwatch containing a listening device to the Russian manager of an Estonian rock band for 100 marks.

Laulu

A documentary about Helsinki's nightlife, soundtracked by rock band Sielun Veljet, theater troupe Ryhmäteatteri, and radio DJ Teppo Turkki.
