Devoted to the last days of Soviet writer, poet, and Gulag survivor Varlam Shalamov, this film follows the efforts of two of Shalamov’s most devoted admirers to preserve the author’s legacy. Having lost his sight and hearing and living in a retirement home, he carried on doing the only thing that mattered to him — writing — until his final breath. This film is a testament to the value of writings that tell the unpalatable truths of the 20th century. To evoke the gritty texture of the Soviet world, Sententia is shot on 16mm black and white film.

Kingdom of Crooked...

Journalist Alexander Vetrov is a sensation hunter. His specialty is mysterious incidents and murders. Each of his materials is the result of an independent investigation. Return from the Stars

Soviet miniseries based on Stanislav Lem's book "Powrót z gwiazd" (Return from the Stars). After 9-year interstellar expedition to Fomalhaut, the astronauts returned home. On Earth 127 years had passed and everything had changed. The Earth no longer has wars, and the society is a safe and comfortable place to live, due to betrization prodcedure that turns off natural aggressive instincts at birth. But the humanity has last something more. In this Uttopian society people don't need deep emotions, a strong character, the ability to overcome oneself and win at incredible odds. Before the main character there is a choice: to accept the new norms of society, or to be seen as a savage. Or maybe to leave the Earth again on another expedition?

Blokada: Pulkovskiy meredian

Autumn 1941. German tank troops are making another attempt to break through to the Uritsk and Pulkovo Heights. During heavy fighting, Soviet troops managed to stop the offensive of fascist tanks one and a half kilometers south of the Pulkovo Observatory. The 900 days of the blockade and the incredible courage of the Soviet people were approaching ...

Son of the Regiment

Summer 1943. A group of scouts from an artillery division stumbles upon a 12-year-old boy during a raid behind enemy lines. The scouts are shocked by his appearance - completely wild, dirty, ragged, angry and hungry - a real "wolf cub". The scouts take him with them and study that he has been wandering through the forests for about two years, feeding on what infections, and hiding all the time.

Murder on the 31st Floor

Police officer Jensen orders the evacuation of a leading media group's office building after a bomb threat is made. There won't be any explosion, however, the media group sustains big losses because of the work stoppage and the management requires investigation of the case. Officer Jensen identifies six suspects, then finds out that he is being followed himself, especially when he gets involved in the obscure activities of the mysterious 31st department.
