Throw in $5 each, paddle out, and surf for 90 minutes straight. Then, judge each other on these five criteria: torque, boost, push, mojo and combo. The winner gets the cash. Shot in virtually every corner of the earth and shinning an alternate light on the sport of surfing, the film shows how diverse every surfers life is, "A Day In The Life..." could be described as a tale of classic short stories. Shot on brilliant 16-mm film and video, the film has a great blend of water shots and land footage. The variety of camera angles does a great job of capturing the "Surfer's Eye" view. Unique in structure, the film shows just how different the life of every surfer can be. Metallica make a guest appearance in the film and provide music to the soundtrack. The group's guitarist, Kirk Hammett, is featured on the front cover of the DVD.
