Big Man, Little Love
An orphaned Kurdish child (Hêjar) and a Turkish pensioner (Rıfat) are thrown together by circumstance. Rıfat, a widowed retired judge, refuses to get involved in politics. He is forced out of his solitude, when Hêjar the only survivor of a police raid on his Kurdish neighbors, takes refuge at his home. Gradually, he warms up to the kid and decides to reunite her with her family.

Fatma Bacı
The film tells the story of a family who moves from a village to the city. Fatma moves to Istanbul after her husband is killed in a blood feud. There, she starts working as a doorkeeper in an apartment building. Her eldest daughter, Halime, is in a relationship with Rıza, a wealthy married man. Her younger daughter Ayşe, who is studying fine arts, is ashamed of her mother's job as a janitor. Her son Yusuf, on the other hand, is determined to avenge his father's death. Before they depart, Nasuhi finds a beaten Russian girl, Olga who was robbed when she tried to sell herself to raise money to continue her own search for her sea faring father.
