To understand what happened and find her son, Mariya has to cross the path of crime boss Egor Bocharov, make friends with fugitive criminal Dmitriy Shilin, reveal the secret of the ghost living in the cinema and find out how he is connected with the mysterious film number 8.

A daring 14-year-old Glasha lives with her grandmother in Shuya and dreams of becoming a director. After the death of her grandmother, her older authoritarian aunt should take custody of the girl. However, the freedom-loving Glasha runs away from her to Moscow, to her younger aunt. By the will of circumstances, they go on a joint journey together, which will eventually change both of them.

Everyone learns something shocking about themselves and others: who they were in the 90s, who they became and what they are capable of in the present.
