An ambitious black comedy that tells three loosely related stories: a couple of elderly landowners, laid low by economic conditions and reformist politics, are trying to gather enough money to build themselves a marble tomb that would keep their remains in the style to which they still aspire; they give their now blind former housekeeper a pig that proves to be more trouble than it's worth as the effort to fatten it up destroys what little family the woman has; and one of the couple's tenants, who is presenter of a relentlessly optimistic radio self-help show, tries to put his own counsel into effect when he saves a young woman from suicide.

In the last days of 2012 everyone is talking about the end of the world. This doesn't seem to affect the routine of Wachi, a grumpy watchman. However the arrival of Tesla, an impulsive fifteen year-old girl, does. Tesla, Wachi, an a lively 80 year old called Trini, spend the last days of 2012 together, sharing a bond despite, their differences.

Trip to Timbuktu is the story of Ana and Lucho, two teenagers who live in Peru. Their story of love, which starts in childhood, reveals the changes which took place in this country during the 80's. For them, the only way to survive in the middle of violence, poverty and lack of opportunities is through their love, a sort of refuge which has as its homeland an imaginary country called Timbuktu. Nevertheless, the reality will stand in their way and collapse their utopia.

Following the crazy advice of two shamans, an aspiring chef appeals to an incredible resource to win a national cooking competition: he publicly commits to personally dive to the bottom of the sea, find a sleeping shark, wake it up and turn it into a ceviche.
