JIANG has just begun his career as an after-school tutor. He has a great sense of humor in teaching but suffers from intimacy issues due to the influence of his parents who endure lifelong mental illnesses. Failing to obtain commitment, JIANG’s girlfriend Lan decides to run away from JIANG and works as an elementary school teacher in a remote village. In order to reconnect with Lan, JIANG applies for an internship at a school there as well. Eventually, JIANG not only rekindles the spark with Lan, his passion for education is also reignited. However, he still has his own problems that need to be overcome: Will JIANG suffer from mental illness just like his parents? Does he still have the ability to love?
The Magician on the Skywalk
Through the stories of nine kids living in the Chinese Shopping Mall, this film depicts their diverse and magical life experiences. In the summer of 1985, while Xiaobudian (the tiny one) was at the fourth grade, he was already a convincing street vendor, who sold stuff for allowance on a skywalk every day. Xiaobudian’s father is a shoe shop owner who was doing business in the Chinese Shopping Mall. One day, a magician from nowhere showed up in the mall. Minxiong Haunted House
During the Qingming Festival, a single mother He Sheng Xin, her daughter and mother, visits the tomb at Chiayi Minxiong Cemetery. Sheng Xin, soon enter the mansion, and with clues from ancient ghosts, stuck in the building, she's not only trying to find her daughter, but also solve and reveal terrifying secret that had been buried for many years in the building. Story is based on real urban legends around Minxiong Haunted House located in Chiayi, Minxiong Township.
