Two neighbours with similar names, Paweł and Gaweł, meet a violinist girl Violetta who pretends to be a child. When Paweł learns she's not a child anymore, he falls in love with her. And vice versa.

The Apartment Above
Two apartment house dwellers, although unrelated, share the same name. One is an older man with an appreciation for and love of classical music, while the other is a younger man addicted to swing music. The niece of the older man arrives for a visit and gets into the wrong apartment. Complications arise.

The young Count Józio Lulewicz leads a rather dissolute life. At the urging of his friends, he tries to extract a large sum of money from his mother to start an operetta. When she refuses, he defiantly applies to a shoemaker for a job as a terminator. The distraught countess agrees to give her son the money he needs, but Józio is already head over heels in love with his boss's daughter and has no intention of giving up his new job.

Witek and Krysia, a married couple, move to Warsaw and have nowhere to stay. They rent a room in a house with many other lodgers. Witek dreams of their own house and draws a sketch of their future home, marking the place where his wife will sleep with the word "treasure". The other lodgers find the draft and a frantic search for the treasure begins.

Trójka hultajska
Three provincial journeymen: a shoemaker - Szydełko, a tailor's - Igiełka, and a carpenter - Wiórek, come to Warsaw, where they end up in the "Pod Apartuszkiem" inn. Soon they unexpectedly win a million zlotys in the lottery. They divide it equally and everyone goes their own way, but they agree on "Under the Apron" next year. After a year, they all meet again. The first two lost all their money, and the third settled down and married Lucia, the daughter of a carpenter.
