María Jiménez reviews her life, personal and professional career, reveals some of its issues and her day-to-day life facing lung cancer. María Jiménez has been one of the most popular singers in Spain in the last half century and, at the same time, the protagonist of a tremendous personal story. Multifaceted, rebellious and outspoken, for this documentary the artist surrounds herself with her son and her pets in her house, in Chiclana de La Frontera, to review her life path. Friends, family and confidants of her also provide anecdotes and testimonies about her. María Jiménez openly recounts her biographical milestones, even the most painful ones, such as the loss of her daughter Rocío or the mistreatment of her ex-husband, the actor Pepe Sancho. Two jobless Forty-somethings: Maca and Rena are in serious need of a financial stroke of luck. When they spot an ad for a TV contest looking for the next Pop Idol, they decide to turn themselves into the MANAGERS of two young hopefuls: Pipo and David. El hormiguero
El Hormiguero is a Spanish television program with a live audience focusing on comedy, science, and politics running since September 2006. It is hosted and produced by screenwriter Pablo Motos. The show aired on Spain's Cuatro channel from launch until June 2011 and is now broadcast on Antena 3. Recurring guests on the show include Luis Piedrahita, Raquel Martos, Marron & "The Man in Black", and puppet ants Trancas and Barrancas. It has proved a ratings success, and has expanded from a weekly 120-minute show to a daily 40-minute show in its third season, which began on September 17, 2007. The show won the Entertainment prize at the 2009 Rose d'Or ceremony.
