Marian Rivera Gracia Dantes (born 12 August 1984) is a Filipino actress and television personality. She is best known for her roles in the films My Best Friend's Girlfriend (2008), You To Me Are Everything (2010), Rewind (2023), and Balota (2024). She won Best Actress at the 73rd Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards and the 20th Cinemalaya Awards for Balota.

Darna is a Philippine drama/fantasy series adapted from Mars Ravelo's fictional superheroine of the same name; directed by Dominic Zapata and Don Michael Perez and developed by Jun Lana. It is the third series based on the Darna graphic novels by Mars Ravelo. It stars Marian Rivera as the title role and her alter-ego Narda, with Iwa Moto as her main nemesis Valentina, also starring Dennis Trillo as Pancho and Mark Anthony Fernandez as Eduardo. The series had premiered on August 10, 2009 on GMA Network and ended on February 19, 2010, and also featured the return of the other four villains originally created by Ravelo himself. Dyesebel is a fantasy Philippine drama that aired on GMA Network. It is an adaptation of a famous graphic novel about a mermaid created by Mars Ravelo. The series premiered on April 28, 2008 and was expected to air for 25 weeks or 125 episodes, with Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes in the lead roles, and Joyce E. Bernal at the helm. The series ended on October 17, 2008. It was internationally aired on GMA Pinoy TV, which became a huge success to viewers abroad. Dyesebel is a popular mermaid character created by renowned graphic novelist Mars Ravelo. The story has been adapted into five films and a spin-off, throughout the timeline of 1953 to 1996. Edna Luna, Vilma Santos, Alma Moreno, Alice Dixson, and Charlene Gonzales had all played the lead role in the big screen, and all of them reached greater heights after playing the role. Ara Mina played a cameo role in this character in the television series Darna.
