She then continued her directing work and taught at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” Leipzig. Between 2000 and 2005, she was a permanent ensemble member at Schauspielhaus Bochum. Guest engagements followed at Schauspielhaus Zürich and Schauspiel Essen. Since 1991, Martina Eitner-Acheampong has also worked as a theater director. She staged productions, among others, at Schauspiel Leipzig, Theater Heilbronn, Staatstheater Stuttgart, Neues Theater Halle, and Theater Augsburg. In the 2003 premiere of the theater play “Mendy – das Wusical” by Helge Schneider, she played one of the main roles. From 2004, Martina Eitner-Acheampong appeared in seasons one to three of the TV series “Stromberg” as Erika Burstedt. Her series character died in the episode “Erika,” aired on April 30, 2007.
