Biography
Born on 3 January 1967 in Tokyo, Japan, she is an actress who trained at the renowned theatre troupe Mumei Juku. After starring in the morning drama series 'Hassai Sensei' (second half of 1987), she has been active in television dramas, stage productions and films. Her family originally ran a tonkatsu restaurant named "Katsuwaka" near their residence in Nerima Ward. The establishment was later refurbished into a Japanese-style restaurant, retaining the name "Katsuwaka". Notable works include "The Remaining Investigation Season 3", "Jun to Ai", and "Hana-kun 2". The 47th NHK Taiga Drama is a life story of Princess Atsu, who was born in Kagoshima Prefecture, then called Satsuma, and became the wife of Tokugawa Iesada, the 13th shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate. She accedes to the highest rank in Ooku, the inner palace of the Edo castle where women related to the reigning shogun resided. Iesada dies soon after their marriage and Atsuhime assumes the name Tenshoin at the age of 23. She exerts herself for the Tokugawa clan and for the nation during the upheaval in the Meiji Restoration, headed by those from Satsuma.

The Hotel of my Dream
In 1984, an up-and-coming writer named Aida Taiju has her career crushed by off-hand criticism from an established author, Higashijujo-sensei. They end up holed up writing in the same hotel historically favoured by authors in the Jimbocho publishing district. Swearing revenge, Taiju makes Higashijujo miss his writing deadline by pretending to be a different person, and entangles her editor into the ruse. They become entangled in a long-lasting feud of revenge where Taiju uses her acting background and pretends to be various different women in order to have her revenge on Higashijujo or blackmail him. Based on a novel by Asako Yuzuki from 2012.
