Identical twin brothers live separate lives for years without seeing each other. They have grown up in very different circumstances. One is a gangster who spreads terror around him, while the other is a modest bank clerk.

Windfall

This is one of the tragicomic films of Kemal Sunal who is most "serious-comic" artist of the Turkish cinema. This film also reflects socio-economic and cultural life of the 70's-80's Turkiye. The film obviously talk to Turkish audience but who wonder that era of Turkiye can taste of it. The film underlines of love, friendship and -richness in the poorness- and also is a story about the people who prefers love, instead of money and fortune. The theme and narration may include some populist elements -like most Kemal Sunal films- but generally tells its story as well. The story is familiar to Turkish audience: A young man loves young girl. In most Turkish love films one of the partners is rich or poor according to the other but in this movie both sides are poor and they have many difficulties to reach happy end. In my opinion, these kind of movies always gives hope to people to get over it.

You Sing Your Songs

The film tells the story of Hayri's experiences after his release from prison following the September 12 coup. Hayri, who was imprisoned during the coup, is released after serving his sentence. However, he finds that many things have changed since his release. His old friends have lost the values they once fought for, and some have become famous businessmen. Hayri struggles to accept this change in his fellow activists. Unable to adapt to his surroundings, he will go to Konya to serve his exile sentence.

Baba Kartal

The film tells the story of a man who enters the world of crime for the happiness and education of his children. Kartal leaves his village and moves to Istanbul with his two sons due to the feudal system. However, Istanbul does not offer them the life they had imagined. They live in poverty for a long time. In a moment of despair, Kartal is offered the chance to carry out an execution. Though he initially refuses, he eventually feels compelled to accept. However, escaping the criminal underworld will not be easy.

Yusuf, who attacked seven people with a knife in the middle of the street, begins to tell his life story in court. Yusuf, who was orphaned at a young age, has led a painful life due to poverty. Unable to attend school, he resorted to gambling to make a living. The young man, who was constantly subjected to injustice, pushed around, and spent his youth in prisons, saw his every attempt at redemption shattered. The story of an unhappy gambler whose life was spent in prison, and a woman who escaped from a brothel and sought to return to an honorable life.
