Taner is a young inventor living in a small town named Gedelli in the middle of the moor. He had lost his father so he was forced to support his family therefore he was not able to attend the Science High School, to which he was admitted, although he wanted it badly. Taner’s mother always tried to get him married, but Taner had no intention to do it as there was a love in his heart, which he had not been able to forget for years. His childhood sweetheart Dilek.

How much space does Zeynep take up in this vast universe? This is a city brimming with the struggling and the unemployed; aren’t their lives a bit like the infinite, tiny particles flying through the air? Zeynep is already trying hard to make ends meet when she gets fired from her job at a textile mill. The Particle follows her as she searches for a job. We follow her in and out of workspaces. Zeynep’s world – the streets and homes in Tarlabaşı – are dark and suffocating.

The Gulf
