One Fine Day
A story set in a Slovenian village during Italian occupation. Stefuc, a man who has been widowed twice and has four daughters, wants to get married for the third time with Zana, who's already engaged and pregnant with Ludvik. Stefuc tries to separate them away, but realizes that he'll have to marry Hedvika, a nice looking girl who has just returned from Milan. In the meantime, Italian fascist authorities decide to eradicate five Slovenian songs with the help of local traitors.

Vesna
Samo, Sandi, and Krištof are preparing for their final exams. They come up with a plan to get hold of the math exam questions with the help of the professor's daughter, nicknamed Hyperbola. Since they don't know her real name, they call her Vesna (Spring). Unexpectedly, the professor's real daughter, the attractive Janja, shows up on a date. Samo and Vesna fall in love and the story begins to unfold rapidly. Samo invites Vesna (Janja) for a ride in a glider. They have to make an emergency landing. Sandi, happy that they finally got their assignments, fights with Samo over them. Samo gets injured and can't go on a date with Vesna. Sandi goes on the date instead, trying to win Vesna over. She scolds him and he reveals the truth that they drew lots for Vesna. Because of this, Vesna wants to kill herself. She jumps with a parachute, hoping it won't open. Everything turns out fine, and the parachute opens.

Our Car
A photographer decides to buy a car with the money he'll get for his prizewinning photo, but the postman brings only a diploma instead of money. Being subjected to the ridicule of their neighbors, his family decides to buy an used Buick, in spite of being against it at first. That would turn out to be a huge mistake, since the breakdowns are more often that they can afford.

Wild Growth
Slovenian countryside in the 18th century. The future lord of the manor, Ožbej, falls in love with the new maid, Meta. His family, however, is opposed to the match and successfully plots to keep the young couple apart. Although Meta must endure scorn and degradation at the hands of the villagers, Ožbej still cannot tear himself away from her. Five children are born of their union, all of whom are looked upon as bastards by the manor folk. Although driven by desperation to return to the manor, Ožbej still harbours the hope that he will one day be able to live together with his love. Can he survive without the woman he loves and without his children? Will he be able to survive at all?

On Our Own Land
Set in a Slovenian coastal town in WW2, the film tells a story about villagers who help partisans to get rid of Italian, and later German authorities that ruled the town in the last years of occupation.
