Biography
Dimitris "Mimis" Fotopoulos (Greek: Δημήτρης (Μίμης) Φωτόπουλος; 8 April 1913 – 29 October 1986) was a Greek actor, writer, poet, and artist. He was born in Zatouna, Gortynia, Arcadia. He studied at the Dramatic School of National Theatre (Δραματική Σχολή του Εθνικού Θεάτρου). He also studied at the Philosophical School at the University of Athens until his second year in 1933. He headed a theatrical company from 1952 and an actor from 1960. He died on 29 October 1986 in Athens, from a heart attack, aged 73.

The Coffee Reader (Kafetzou)
In a poor neighborhood of Athens, next to the coffee shop of Spyros (Mimis Fotopoulos) is a coffee shop that has gained a great reputation and is preparing to move to Kolonaki as it has made a lot of money by telling the cup. In the same neighborhood is a laundress, Kalliopi (Georgia Vassiliadou), who makes a living by force. One day, after an incident in which a customer (Kostas Mentis) humiliates Kalliopi and Spyros intervenes, he comes up with an idea: for Kalliopi to run the coffee shop, since the other one has left.

Mitsos, the son of a coffee shop owner and matchmaker, runs a marriage bureau and earns his living by arranging marriages. However, Pavlaras is not well and needs to rest, as recommended by his doctor. Petrakis collects money from their friends, but it is not enough to cover their expenses. He is then forced to secretly sell the lantern without Pavlaras' knowledge.
