This musical play is based on the first act of Goethe's Faust. The angel Mephistopheles is condemned to fall from heaven after committing a sin. He is told that he can only return to heaven if he can bring a human being on the path of salvation. Mephistopheles refuses, believing that man is inherently evil. Vowing to drag a human down to hell along with him, he descends onto Earth and sets his sights on a man named Faust, an aged professor with no will to live.

One day the young man is involved in a drive by shooting and loses his memory, then turns back to the piano and begins to perform beautifully..... A musical in which the protagonist is wrapped in trauma, that follows him until he is determined to search for his path in life, with his friend as an axis, and the distractions of his feelings for the many women he loses his heart to.

King had a magic touch with dice. He built up a huge fortune by gambling. When he was powerful enough he knocked out the gang that was his rival, the Brass family, and became King of San Angelo. King Harvey was generous with bribes and the city police chief was in his pocket. Even though some of the Brass gang wanted revenge, King appeared invincible with his own might and with police protection. One day Harvey's luck ran out.
