Misa Uehara (上原美佐 Uehara Misa) (birth name Misako Uehara, born 26 March 1937 in Fukuoka, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan; died 2003) appeared in a few Japanese films from the late 1950s, most notably starring as Princess Yuki in Akira Kurosawa's The Hidden Fortress. Swordsman With the Torn Umbrella
Set in the Edo period, Kanou Toshu studied medicine in Nagasaki and lives on the outskirts of Senju-juku . He is also a master of the Mugai Ryu sword style. Although he has skills in medicine, he is also a big drinker and often drinks all day and falls asleep, or drinks at night and does not go home. He does not charge for treatment and medicine costs from poor patients such as tradesmen and farmers, but occasionally he'll buy their produce or drink with them. When he senses injustice by the rich and powerful, he takes matters into his own hands and doles out justice as he sees fit.

Saga of the Vagabonds
Lord Taro must deliver a money chest but is robbed by brigands led by Jibu. One of Jibu's men, Rokuro, steals the money from Jibu, but after meeting and befriending Taro, Rokuro decides to return the money to Taro. But Taro's unscrupulous brother Jiro falsely accuse Taro of the theft, and Taro reactively joins the outlaw band and encourages them to steal from the nobles and give to the poor.
