Aparan
Viswanathan comes to the city for a job interview, only to find himself entangled in a crisis due to his resemblance with a gangster. Frustrated, he decides to find and face his doppelgänger with the help of a police inspector friend, but finding the imposter proves difficult, and the further they dig, the more mysterious and shocking their findings.

Thalavattam
Vinod/Vinu (played by Mohanlal) is mentally ill and is hospitalized in the institution run by Dr. Ravindran ( M G Soman). Story progresses as Vinod recovers with the help of Dr. Savithri, Dr. Ravindran's daughter (Karthika) and Dr. Unnikrishnan (Nedumudi Venu) who finds that Vinu fell ill after the accidental death of his fiancée Anitha (Lizy). Later Vinu and Savithri fall in love but Savithri is already engaged to be married to her cousin, Hari(Mukesh). Plot progresses as Dr. Ravindran opposes the romance between the doctor and the recovered patient.

Katha Parayumbol

The script also by Srinivasan is so layered that every frame has a comment to make about the world and every line of the dialogue, on the mores of the society. The craze for celebrities and the problems of leading a principled life are discussed without being preachy.

Ninnishtam Ennishtam
Sreekuttan falls in love with Shalini. Shalini's family is in financial trouble. Sreekuttan's on-and-off friendship with a wealthy man allows him to be Shalini's benefactor and suitor.

Friends
The threesome who lend reason to the title are Aravindan (Jayaram), Chandu (Mukesh) and Joy (Sreenivasan). They value friendship over everything else, even family, and for this reason, Chandu resists the advances of Aravindan's sister Uma (Divya Unni). When the trio take up a painter's job at a mansion, Aravindan falls in love with Padmini (Meena), who lives there and Padmini's jealous cousin makes him believe that his overtures are reciprocated. When the truth is revealed and Padmini rejects him outright, Chandu stands up for his friend and speaks ill of her. This makes her swear to separate the friends.

Godfather
A retelling of William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet", the film revolves around the rivalry between two families, the Anjooran and Anappara houses, and the consequences faced when two members of the families fall in love.
